Out Of Time by Beth Flynn

They thought with his execution it would be all over.
They were wrong.

The leader of one of South Florida's most notorious and brutal motorcycle gangs has been put to death by lethal injection. Days later, his family and friends should have been picking up the pieces, moving on. Instead, they've been catapulted into a world so twisted and dangerous even the most ruthless among them would be stunned to discover the tangled web of deception, not only on the dangerous streets of South Florida but all the way to the top.

In this gripping follow-up novel to Nine Minutes, Out of Time takes readers from the sun-drenched flatlands of 1950's Central Florida's Death Row as we finally learn the gritty backstory of Jason "Grizz" Talbot, the terrifying leader of Satan's Army motorcycle gang, and the secret he spent his life trying to conceal.

Not even Grizz's inner circle knows his full story- they tragedy that enveloped his early life, the surprise discovery that made him the government's most wanted and most feared, and the depths of his love for Ginny, the tenderhearted innocent he'd once abducted and later made his wife.

 Once Grizz obsession and now the mother of his child, Ginny has spent years grieving the man she'd first resisted and then came to love. Now remarried to Tommy, a former member of the gang, the pair have spent more than a decade trying desperately to live a normal existence far from the violent, crime-ridden world they'd once carved out on the edge of the Florida Everglades. For Tommy, especially, the stakes are high. Desperately in love with Ginny for years, he's finally living his dream: married to the woman he never thought he could have. But even with the facade of normalcy- thriving careers, two beautiful children, and a genuinely happy and loving marriage- they can't seem to put the past behind them. Everytime they turn around, another secret is revealed, unraveling the very bonds that hold them together.

And with Grizz finally put to death, now Ginny has learned secrets so dark, so evil she's not even sure she can go on.

Will these secrets tear their love to pieces? And how far will Grizz go to protect what he still considers his, even from beyond the grave?

Omg where do I start!? Out of Time by Beth Flynn is PHENOMENAL!!!

If you haven't read Nine Minutes, then please do so first. Out of Time is the second installment of the series.

I swear not to give you any spoilers but my emotions are all over the place! Beth did amazing job picking up right after Nine Minutes left off. I have only read a hand full of books that left me this drain in all my blogging years, I mean even the twist have twist in them and the so do the turns!

Let's not forget to mention Beth's AWESOME  job of writing past and present narratives! I'm usually one to hate those but I was so impressed because it flowed so naturally. The character build up was still amazing as in the first book!

Beth Flynn's writing is beyond anything I have ever read. I am truly honored to have found such a wonderful, amazing, and talented author.

Buy this book, you will not regret it!

Fire Down Below by Debra Anastasia

Dove Glitch is embarrassed about everything above her knees and below her belly button. when she has to fill a delicate, embarrassing prescription the last thing she needs is a sexy-as-hell (and brand spanking new) pharmacist behind the counter.

Johnson Fitzwell's first day of his dream career also happens to coincide with the exact moment Dove needs her feminine meds filled. His glorious voice is way too loud-as in, he should be counting down the hits with Ryan Seacrest kind of loud. Thanks to Johnson's handsome face and gorgeous jaw line, Dove dives headlong into her walking nightmare and asks for vagina-scented cream.

How could she not fall for him? Dove's only active goal now is to get Johnson to kiss her right on the lips. Either set. However, his horrible girlfriend is one of many obstacles preventing her from making that fantasy and reality. When Dove defends Johnson in the most unhygienic, unconventional gross way in the middle of a crowded restaurant, their tender, slightly, tantric relationship is of to galloping, farting start.

Each print copy of this book will be dipped in holy water by my mom, and glared by my father as he purses his lips. Neither will help. So, drop your pants and turn to the left and cough. I hope your not allergic to latex, because it's time to fill your prescription. Anally.
                     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think my cookie is still itching after reading this book! Lol All I have to say is if you haven't 1-clicked on this book, then what are you waiting for! This laugh out loud book will have tears falling down your eyes from laughter as well as your legs! Wear some Depends if you have a weak bladder because there is no doubt you will piss your pants!
I can honestly say every page has something so hilarious in it that you can't help but keep turning the pages. From squirrel porn to weirdo Steve, you can't help but see what shenanigans will happen next. It's hard for me even writing this review because reading Fire Down Below is a must read and you have to experience this gut wrenching laughter yourself to understand it.
Like Duke says, "Sniff it, Live it, Be it!" mark those words!
I'm keeping this review short and simple. Reading Fire Down Below gave me the farts and sh!#'s. So if you excuse me, I need to go to the bathroom again.
Saving Lawson by R.J. Lewis
LOVING LAWSON MUST BE READ FIRST! This is the FIRST and LAST book.
** Book contains SWEARING, VIOLENCE, and SEX. If that is not for you, this content may offend!**
Heath Lawson always prided himself on doing right. It was the reason why he brought Allie Wallace into his life in the first place after she turned to him, pregnant with his brother's baby and with nowhere to go. He didn't expect to fall in love with her, but now that she's his, he's not going to let her go.
However, after the unexpected death of a gang member, the town descends into a chaos as the leader of the Syndicate gang is on avid search for the one responsible. And when Heath begins to take matters into his own hands to protect the ones he loves, he's torn at the double life he leads. The trust he once offered to the one woman that ever loved him is jeopardized as he begins to lose himself in a dark and dangerous world of lies.
             ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wow... Holy Moley... R.J. Lewis as me coming down from this emotional high after reading Saving Lawson. I did NOT expect the book to play out how it did! I was worried for awhile on how this was going to play out. Of coarse I should have never even doubted Lewis and her suburb writing skills, she knocked this one out of the park.

Saving Lawson was way more emotional then the first book, Heath and Allie's characters both grew compared to the first book in Loving Lawson. This book as you all over the place, as soon as you think you have it figure out, abruptly everything changes course and your left with a "Oh Sh#!" moment.

Saving Lawson was so different than what I thought it was going to be. There is action, drama, violence, and tears and let's not forget to mention Ryder and how I went to not liking him at all in book one to actually having a spot part for him.

The twist and turns in this book are amazing, I seriously don't know how Lewis does it because her endings are always EPIC in each of her books. Talk about a woman with AMAZING talent! This series is a must read, scratch that! ALL her book are a MUST READ!!! I give Saving Lawson by R.J. Lewis 5 plus stars!!!

Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat by Daisy Prescott

I, Thomas Clifford Donnely, am a manwhore.
I've been told I'm irresistible to women. Like catnip for a different type of pussy-cat. I guess you could call me a Tom Cat.

This is the story about how I lost my wingman, broke all my own rules, and found myself falling in love.

Tom Donnelly isn't the marrying kind, or the dating kind. Even after losing his #1 wingman to love, he doesn't see the point in relationships. When his sister's best friend returns to Whidbey Island and propositions Donnelly for a one-night stand, he breaks one of his biggest rules- no fooling around with his sisters' friends. It's just sex, nothing more. that's what Tom does and does well.

What happens when "just sex" isn't enough?

Hailey King is more than a match for Tom flirtations. She's known him most of her life and has heard the rumors about his "skills" for years. When her perfectly planned future falls apart, will the last man she should ever fall for turn out to be more than a one-night stand?

             ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Author Daisy Prescott did it again! I absolutely loved Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat, it had me smiling, giggling, crying and wanting to go back and reread all her books. I didn't feel the need to dislike Tom and his man whorish ways, the more you got to know him, you just couldn't help but like and fall for his flirty, cocky, and care free personalty.
Tom loves women and sex! He doesn't get the whole falling in love even after his best friend John falls in love. Then enters Hailey, his sister's best friend and throws him in for a loop. Tom starts to slowly fall in love with out even knowing it. This book has a bit of everything. You will enjoy the humor but most of all, you will enjoy Prescott's realistic writing. It had me imaging Whidbey Island in perfect clarity and wanting to take a road trip.
Will he fall in love or stay with is man whorish ways? Read it and find out, this is definitely a MUST READ!
Prescott's writing has always drew me in with her beautiful words but also with her male POV's, she is a master at them! This book is no exception, you will not be disappointed. I give Confessions of a Tom Cat a 5 Star! Bravo Daisy Prescott, BRAVO!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wow, I didn't know what I got myself into until I started reading it. I love me some paranormal romance but this one was different! It wasn't vampire's, werewolves, ghost, or anything like that. Destined for Dreams was different because it had a unique and interesting story line. Nadia has to survive off of peoples nightmare's, and I loved that she didn't play the damsel in distress, Nadia didn't like doing what she did but she knew there wasn't any other way around it.

Then comes in a new girl and Nadia can't resist giving her a nightmare, but what she finds is Hunter and builds a relationship with him. Their secret love of wanting to be together and wanting to help him embarks on this action pack and paranormal romance. This book is fill with dream worlds and special powers, it kind of reminds me of reading about X-Mex characters. There isn't ever a dull moment with Ginna Moran superb writing skills.

This book is a YA read, but with how it's written you just dive right in to the story line and can't seem to get enough. I totally recommend this book to everyone!

Under the Mistletoe by M.C. Cerny

                                          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Monroe Matches is throwing the hottest holiday mixer for all the sexy singles in Miami. We've got the mistletoe, come and meet your holiday match...
Carla Monroe has been matching couples for decades. If there's one match she hasn't gotten right, it's her son Phineas. No woman has sparked his interest, no matter how many of her top contenders she's secretly paraded in his path, both in and out of the office.
Luckily for Carla, Maxine Mackenzie has finally come back to Miami. Once she pairs her grumpy marketing director son with the free-spirited party planner, sparks fly. Thanking a cue from her Shaman, Carla hightails out of town to let the two people who need a match the most, fall... under the mistletoe.
                                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Under the Mistletoe was a very short festive read. I enjoyed every character and loved that they had known each other, that they had a past.

*Carla Monroe- The matchmaking mother

*Phineas Monroe- The Uncommitted Ladies Man

*Priscilla Monroe- The Crazy Driving Crude Talking Sister

*Maxine Mackenzie- The Party Planner

Carla Monroe wants her son to be happy and find love, so she comes up with a plan to bring Phineas and Maxine together.

While Carla ask Maxine to come down to Miami to help organize a Christmas mixer for all their clientele, Maxine jumps at the chance to get away from California. She stays with her childhood best friend Priscilla Monroe, and is ready for what this change will bring her.

What she didn't expect was to bump into Phineas that first day and still have those childhood feeling for him. As for Phineas, he fondly remembers Maxine and how she would follow him around. There was always something about her that wormed her way into his thoughts.

As the story proceeds, you can see how Priscilla plays her match making part to also match them up together. I found Priscilla to be hilarious with her crude talking and crazy driving! I would love there to be a second book on her, I can only imagine the things she would say and do.

As Phineas and Maxine take this step to see where things head, you can't help but to love where this story takes you. I found Under The Mistletoe to be a cute and funny read, definitely one of my favorite short reads!

Thicker Than Blood by Madeline Sheehan & Claire C. Riley

                              A True Friendship Never Dies.

Leisel and Evelyn lost everything. Husbands. Families. Friends. Lives that made sense. All they had left was each other, and a friendship that could withstand anything...

Even an apocalypse.

Until one faithful night, the marginal safety they'd come to rely on comes to a vicious and brutal end. With help of Alex and Jami, both unlikely allies, Leisel and Evelyn are able to escape their shattered sanctuary only to find themselves face-to-face with a much altered, much crueler life where they have to find the way and the will to stay alive in a world they no longer recognize.

Traveling across a broken and infection-ridden country; the road-weary group are pitted against endless violence, improbable circumstances, and the ultimate loss.
Everything comes at a price-especially safety, the cost of which could very well strip them of the one thing they've tried so hard to cling to: their humanity.

Yet along with all the trials they're forced to endure, there's also hope in the form of love. Having loved Leisel from afar, Alex attempts to put the pieces of her fractured heart back together.

But in such a savage world, is there room for love?

In a place of nightmares-made-reality, where the living should be feared far more than the dead, an unbreakable friendship and a love amongst all odds can mean the difference between life and death.

There are friends...

And then there are Leisel and Evelyn.

                              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Madeline Sheehan and Claire C. Riley out did themselves! I don't even know how they hell am I going to review this book without giving away everything!
First off, don't let my blog name fool you, I'm a hardcore zombie apocalypse reading chick! Lol This book is nail biting, adrenaline rushing, and will have your heart feeling like you just ran a marathon.
I've read my fair shares of zombie apocalypse books and this one is high up there in the scale of 10! I mean, right in the beginning you can feel how the world has changed and gone to hell. The writing is superb and even the realism of reading it has you peeking out your window to make sure there are no zombies.
Madeline and Claire throw you in without warning and the action pack starts right away leaving you thinking "WTF just happened?" and it doesn't stop there, it keeps going and going. Evelyn and Leisel leave one hell for another and in the midst, their relationships tugs at your heart because you feel how strong it is. Everything they have suffered has you wondering when will they break, and eventually they do but they have each other through it all. Their friendship truly is thicker than blood.
The characters are unforgettable, you want to know all their stories. Thicker Than Blood sucks you in and leaves you drained.
How do you go on and even think about living when you have no one left? Read it and find out.
The epilogue was beautifully written and it will leave you in tears.
I can't say enough to any and everyone who loves these types of genres should read Thicker Than Blood. The action pack but heart felt book will leaving you wanting for more. I feel like this review doesn't even convey how I feel about it! They did an amazing job balancing out with the action pack scenes but also the emotional parts. Wow is all I can say, it blew my mind.
I cried in the beginning.
I cried in the middle.
I cried in the end. Oh man did I cry at the end!
I cried because we all know with zombie apocalypse books there can never really truly be a happy ending.
Finding Laila by TK Rapp
Joey, Cole, Haden, and Braxton have been a constant in my life since I was five, and I have loved being one of the guys.
I've been a cheerleader.
I've been a study partner.
I've been a listener.
When we're young, we don't realize the profound impact certain people will have on our lives. I had no idea twelve years ago I'd meet four boys who would turn out to be my best friends, my soul mates - my barmy.
Now school is almost done, our last summer together is drawing closer, and I'm trying to hold on to what we have while I still can. After this, we'll have to say goodbye to each other as our choices will take our lives in different direction. But I don't know if our friendship can survive once secrets and surprises begin revealing themselves to us at every turn.
when it's all said and done, will our friendships remain unbreakable? Or will our once strong bond prove to be weaker than we anticipated?
Letting go is harder than I thought, but some changes are necessary.
And finding Laila...finding myself...maybe the greatest journey of all.
                       ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wow, what can I say to make y'all buy TK Rapp's book?

First off, I'm not going to giveaway anything about the book away, all I'm going to do is explain how Finding Laila made me feel.

I know the exact moment I was going to love this book, and that was at 2%. It was a magnificent read! I would would catch myself reminiscing about my own high school experience, and every emotion I had was bitter sweet. Laila was the type of character I would have loved being friends with in high school, and let's say there was a few parts I was jealous at her because of the friendship she had with Joey, Cole, Haden, and Braxon. Lol

Author TK Rapp made me feel like one of the guys, reminded me about young love, true friendships, and heartache. You can't help but get sucked into the story and want to be part of it. Once you read Finding Laila you will fall in love with it, there is no doubt that you will!

My feeling were all over the place.
I was happy, excited, nervous, upset, sad, and devastated. Oh boy, when I say devastated I mean bawling my eyes out and having my hubby bring me comfort food while blowing my nose and not wanting to leave my bed. I highly recommend y'all having tissue on hand.

Would I read this book all over again? Yes, I most definitely would!

Did Author TK Rapp catch me by surprise? Yes, she did!

This book is a MAGNIFICENT READ!!!
